We’re now into the fifth week of introducing the main sponsors of Tarleton Rugby Club — the fantastic businesses, and importantly the people behind them, who have chosen to stand alongside us, invest in our ambitions and play their part in the journey we are on as a Club and a community.

This week, we’re delighted to recognise GMR Accountants, who are joining Tarleton Rugby Club this season as a main sponsor.

While GMR may be new to the Club in terms of becoming one of our principal sponsors this season, their involvement and support has already been significant.

Anyone who has visited the Club recently will have noticed one of the most visible examples of that support — our electronic scoreboard, generously provided by GMR. It is another important improvement to our facilities and something that will continue to benefit players, members and supporters every matchday for many seasons to come.

But the relationship between GMR and Tarleton Rugby Club goes much deeper than sponsorship alone.

Jonathan Muller of GMR is a member of the Tarleton Rugby Club Board, bringing considerable financial and commercial experience directly into the leadership of the Club. As we continue to grow, professionalise our operations and deliver an increasingly ambitious strategy for the future, having people like Jonathan willing to give their time, experience and expertise is enormously valuable.

GMR are also the Club’s accountants, providing the professional financial support, advice and oversight that becomes increasingly important as the scale and ambition of Tarleton Rugby Club continues to develop.

Established in 2003, GMR Accountants have now been practising for more than 20 years. From their base on London Street in the heart of Southport, they have built a strong team providing accountancy, taxation, payroll, bookkeeping and wider business support.
