At Tarleton Rugby Club, we are incredibly proud of the businesses that stand alongside us and help make our ambitions a reality. As you will have read over the last few weeks, we’re shining a spotlight on the fantastic organisations — and the people behind them — who invest in our Club, our players and our community.
This week, we’re delighted to recognise Smart Image Workwear and, in particular, Bill Rawlinson, whose support for Tarleton Rugby Club now stretches back more than five seasons.
Bill’s contribution to the Club during that time has been exceptional.
Season after season, Bill and the Smart Image team have provided huge quantities of clothing and kit across the Club, supporting not only our Senior teams but our Minis and Juniors too. It is exactly the type of long-term relationship that makes such a difference to a community sports club like ours.
Perhaps nowhere has that support been more visible than at our annual Club Awards Days. Year after year, Bill and his team have willingly contributed towards the clothing and kit that we have been able to give free of charge to our young players — helping make these occasions special for hundreds of children and families.
Their support doesn’t stop with playing, training and off field kit either.
Smart Image have been massively helpful in producing the sponsor boards that now adorn the walls of our clubhouse, allowing us to showcase the many other businesses that support Tarleton Rugby Club. In many ways, Bill has therefore helped us not only promote Smart Image, but also recognise and celebrate the wider family of businesses investing in our Club.
And that tells you a great deal about the relationship we have built.
Smart Image Workwear is a Lancashire family-owned business established in 1984, operating from a purpose-built 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Walton-le-Dale, Preston. The business holds more than 10,000 products in stock and provides workwear, PPE, footwear and safety equipment alongside an extensive in-house garment branding operation. Their facilities include embroidery, screen printing, heat-sealing and other garment customisation services — providing businesses, clubs and organisations with a genuine one-stop solution for branded clothing and workwear. It is a successful local business that has remained committed to supporting its community — something Bill and his team have demonstrated to Tarleton Rugby Club repeatedly over the last five-plus years.
