At Tarleton Rugby Club, we are incredibly proud of the businesses that stand alongside us and help turn ambition into reality. Over recent weeks, we’ve been shining a spotlight on the fantastic organisations — and, importantly, the people behind them — who invest in our Club, our players and our community.
This week, we’re delighted to recognise Tom Parker Ltd, another fantastic local business whose support and generosity towards Tarleton Rugby Club has made a real difference.
For a community rugby club like ours, successful partnerships are about far more than simply having a company name displayed around the ground. They are about local businesses choosing to get behind what we are trying to build — supporting grassroots rugby, creating opportunities for young people and helping us continue to develop a Club that sits at the heart of its community.
The main men at Tom Parker Ltd are Richard Parker a regular on the touchline, when he’s not following Preston North End, and his son Will, who has been a consistent front row player for the Club for many seasons.

Tom Parker Ltd is a brilliant example of a community supporter.
Based in Preston and established in 1972, Tom Parker Ltd is a family-run business and has grown to become the UK’s largest independent fluid power distributor, with more than 50 years of experience in the industry.
From its Preston headquarters and distribution centre, together with its Basingstoke operation, the company provides more than 30,000 pneumatic, hydraulic, process and industrial products, working with over 70 leading manufacturers and combining an extensive UK stockholding with genuine technical expertise and customer support. But for us, it is the company’s willingness to support its local community that really matters.
Their backing helps Tarleton Rugby Club continue investing across every level of the game — from our youngest Minis taking their first steps in rugby, through our Junior and Colts pathway and ultimately into Senior rugby.
As our Club continues to grow, relationships with successful businesses such as Tom Parker Ltd become increasingly important.
We have big ambitions for the future of Tarleton Rugby Club — not simply as a rugby club, but as a Community Sports, Health & Well-Being destination capable of providing outstanding facilities, opportunities and experiences for people of all ages.
We cannot achieve that vision alone.
It takes players, coaches, volunteers, members, families and supporters — but it also takes businesses prepared to believe in what we are building and become part of the journey.
Tom Parker Ltd is one of those businesses.
From everyone at Tarleton Rugby Club, a huge thank you to the entire team at Tom Parker Ltd for your continued support and for investing in our Club and our community.
Your support genuinely makes a difference.
