At Tarleton Rugby Club, we are proud to celebrate the businesses whose support allows our club to grow, thrive and continue serving our community. This week we’re delighted to shine the spotlight on one of our longest-standing supporters – Hunt’s Stores SPAR.

For many years, Lawrence Hunt and his son Kevin have been passionate supporters of Tarleton Rugby Club. Whether home or away, they’ve been right behind the lads, proving that community spirit is every bit as exciting as elite sport.

Kevin is a huge Formula One fan, but we’re pleased to report he’s finally discovered that standing on the touchline at Carr Lane, or travelling the country cheering on Tarleton Rugby, can be every bit as exhilarating as spending a weekend at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps or Circuit de Monaco! The atmosphere might be a little muddier, but the racing for the try line is just as competitive.

Hunt’s Stores is a proud fourth-generation family business, operating more than 20 SPAR stores across Lancashire and the North West. Since opening their very first store in 1946, they have built their reputation on serving local communities, supporting local charities and organisations, and delivering outstanding convenience with a genuine family ethos. 

Their generous sponsorship has enabled Tarleton Rugby Club to continue functioning across many of the critical areas that keep a thriving community club running. From supporting rugby on the pitch to investing in facilities and opportunities for our members, Hunt’s Stores SPAR have played an invaluable part in helping us move the club forward.
